REGULAR ACTIVITIES

Here are some activities that happen at Rockingham Church regularly. New members and visitors are always welcome so don't hesitate to contact the church for more details.

Sonshine Playgroup

At Rockingham Church of Christ, every Thursday except school holidays from 9:15am to 11:15am .. (Cost for admission is $2.50 per family.)
Sonshine Playgroup is for toddlers and preschool children.It provides great social interaction, and parents are encouraged to participate. Parents have access to a well stocked library of Christian literature, and videos on family issues and child raising.
At 10:30am, morning tea is provided both for children and for parents.

Lots of fun were had by all.
  • Outside activities include toy cars, bicycles,sandpit,swings and slide in a childproof fenced area.

  • Inside activities include painting, craft jigsaws, play dough and many carpet toys

  • Morning concludes with sing-a-long and morning tea. Children's birthdays get a special mention.

  • Playgroup is run by volunteer "Aunties" and "Uncles" who are from the church.

Ryan Supa Club

ART & CRAFT GROUPS

The art group meets every Monday from 1pm to 3:30pm during the school term. Painting types are water colour, acrylic and oil paintings.
The craft group, (Called the"TAKE A BREAK" group) meets Wednesdays from 9:30 to 11:30am during school term.
This group attracts interests from a broad range of people. Crafts such as cake decorating, patchwork, sewing and many more are part of the work which is done. take a break"Take A Break" crafts group also runs a computer class every week as part of the group's activities. This group is for beginners only, teaching basic skills. Why not come along and join us?

Friendlies

The Friendlies group meets every alternate Friday from 1pm to 4pm.
The Friendlies is for all adult age groups, but attracts mainly retirees along with some other unemployed and disabled folk. They meet for a fun, relaxed time playing board games. Often day trips are organised, along with an enjoyable annual holiday.

HOME CELL GROUPS

These meet weekly throughout the year in various homes.
They focus on learning the Bible and discovering how it can be relevant to every individual in building a healthy Christian lifestyle., as well as providing a sure foundation for our families and homes.
The Rockingham Church of Christ home cell groups are a great way to make new friends and find encouragement.

WOMEN TOGETHER

This group meets each month and oversees many activities, and the sponsorship of the little orphaned child "Toto" who lives in a Thai orphanage run by "Mercy International".
They organize frequent social and special purpose gatherings throughout the year.
Several of the ladies meet in the "Women in Harmony" singing group.
They also organize monthly nursing home visits.
